His interest in writing fiction came about from being a young voracious reader of great storytellers such as Alastair Reynolds and Edgar Rice Burroughs. As a young teenager he discovered Stephen King, James Herbert, Graham Masterton and many more great modern genre writers and became totally hooked on horror and adventure stories.
In his mid-teens he began writing short stories. College, career, marriage and a young family took all his energy and focus but, around 8 years ago, he took pen in hand, once again...
He is married and (still) lives in Dublin with his wife and three children and his shadow, Mac - an adorable, faithful golden lab (think Marley and me and you get the picture...)

Here’s a little about me and my writing...
I drafted the first Vampire Apocalypse book in or around 2002, but this post-apocalyptic military horror saga story had been fermenting and evolving since my late teens (and that’s more than a few years!).
So far, there are three books in the series. VAMPIRE APOCALYPSE: A WORLD TORN ASUNDER was my first published novel and I have been thrilled and humbled by the reception it has received on both sides of the Atlantic by reviewers and readers alike. The second book in the series, VAMPIRE APOCALYPSE: DESCENT INTO CHAOS, was released in 2008. The third, VAMPIRE APOCALYPSE: FALLOUT, was released in 2009. The Film Rights to the first book are under option.
Also, watch out for a VAMPIRE APOCALYPSE Graphic Novel in 2011 - the rights have been licensed to a US indie comic publisher, New Baby Productions.
My novel THE ESTUARY (released on June 30th, 2009 by Permuted Press) was inspired by a trip a few years back to the beautiful town of Dungarvan in Southern Ireland. We were on a family weekend away visiting some friends, It was in early May and the sun was shining and the weather was warm - all in all an idyllic place to be. And, I thought, what a wonderful setting for a horror story...
I have a 3 chapbook boxed set of stories coming out in March 2010 from Ghostwriter Publications. The series is called SENTINELS OF THE SEA. If you enjoy historical naval fiction and horror, watch out for these.
I have also had stories published in anthologies from Permuted Press: HISTORY IS DEAD (2007), THE UNDEAD ANTHOLOGY (2005), Black Death Books: THE BLACKEST DEATH (2006), Library of the Living Dead: ZOMBOLOGY (2008), 12 to Midnight: (BURIED TALES OF PINEBOX TX (2009).
2010 will see the release of the reprint Zombie anthology called BEST NEW ZOMBIE TALES and I will also have a story in this.
I am also a Contributing Editor for The Big Thrill, the monthly ezine of The International Thriller Writers’ Association. I’m also a member of the ITWA and the Horror Writers’ Assoication.
When I’m not writing, I work as a specialist consultant for a mutinational telco, run around after my three children and relax by playing my electric and acoustic guitars (not both at the same time though - I'm not that good) dreaming of being a rock star!
Here at my website, you can read about my books, the reviews and read extracts too.
I hope you enjoy your visit here - thanks for dropping by!
